What’s New in IISERs in 2025?
IISER Kolkata has launched a brand-new 5-year BS-MS program in Computational and Data Sciences. Starting from 2025-26, this program will require mathematics in your Class XII.
Meanwhile, IISER Tirupati is stepping into fresh territory with a 4-year BS in Economic and Statistical Sciences. Once again, math is mandatory—but so is curiosity.
IISER Pune
Pune has always stood tall in the IISER lineup—and the fee structure reflects a balance of opportunity and investment.
BS-MS, 1st Semester
- Gen/OBC/EWS/KM: ₹71,502
- SC/ST/PD: ₹27,047
Tuition makes up the biggest chunk for Gen/OBC students (₹44,455), but SC/ST/PD students enjoy a full waiver there.
PhD:
Starts at ₹59,000 for Sem 1 and gradually reduces—₹19,940 by the final semesters.
Integrated PhD:
- Starts at ₹69,540 for Sem 1 and declines with each phase.

IISER Mohali
The 1st semester cost for BS-MS students is ₹62,330, with most of it going toward tuition and essential facilities. For the rest of the semester.
For PhD students, the total comes to ₹47,671. The numbers don’t lie—Mohali is quietly efficient when it comes to budgeting research dreams.
