The National Testing Agency (NTA) will soon release the NCET 2026 application form for admission to 4-year Integrated Teacher Training Programmes (ITEPs) offered by 77 NCET participating institutes. The form will be released on the official NCET website. The website link is likely to be released/activated in the third week of February 2026.

NCET Application Form 2026: Release Date

Last year, the NCET application form was released on February 20 (third week of February 2025) on the official NCET website.

Therefore, it is expected that the NTA will release the NCET 2026 application form in the third week of February 2026. Once the form is released, SciAstra will inform all the aspirants and provide the direct link to fill out the form.

Age Limit

There is no age limit for the candidates. The candidates who have passed the class 12 / equivalent examination or are appearing in 2025, irrespective of their age, can appear in the NCET 2025 examination.

Note: The candidates will be required to fulfil the age criteria (if any) of the Participating Universities.

Educational Qualifications

  1. The final examination of the 10+2 system, conducted by any recognized Central/ State Board, such as the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi; Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations, New Delhi, etc.

  2. Intermediate or two-year \ Pre-University examination conducted by a recognised Board/ University.

  3. Final examination of the two-year course of the Joint Services Wing of the National Defence Academy.

  4. Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Institute of Open Schooling with a minimum of five subjects.

  5. Any Public School/ Board/ University examination in India or any foreign country is recognised as equivalent to the 10+2 system by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).

  6. Higher Secondary Certificate Vocational Examination.

  7. Candidates who have completed the Class 12 (or equivalent) examination outside India or from a Board not specified above should produce a certificate from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) to the effect that the examination they have passed is equivalent to the Class 12 Examination.

How to fill out the NCET Application Form 2026?

The National Common Entrance Test (NCET) 2026 is likely to be conducted in the fourth week of April 2026. To take the test, candidates will have to first fill out the application form. The steps to fill out the NCET 2026 application form are as follows:

  1. Visit the official NCET website.

  2. Register for the exam by entering personal and qualification details and an address for communication.

  3. Create a password.

  4. Log in by using the provided registration number and created password.

  5. Fill out the application form.

  6. Upload a passport-size photo and a scanned copy of your signature.

  7. Pay the application fee to complete the application process.
