NISER Bhubaneswar Fees 2026 for General & OBC Category Students

The NISER Bhubaneswar fee 2026 for the first semester of the Integrated MSc courses for General and OBC category candidates is INR 25,000. The total institute caution money and hostel caution money for these candidates are INR 6,000.

After Semester I, General and OBC category candidates will have to pay a fee of INR 16,000 for each semester.

NEST 2026 Merit List: Tie-Breaking Criteria

If two or more students obtain equal percentiles in NEST 2026, there will be a tie. The following criteria will be used to break the tie:

1. A tie of rank would be broken by first comparing the sum of the two best section scores.

2. If the tie of rank persists, then the best section score will be considered.

3. If the tie of rank persists, the candidates would be given the same provisional rank at the time of declaration of the results.

4. The tie would be broken during admission/counselling by first comparing the aggregate percentage of class XII followed by class X.

NEST 2026: NISER Bhubaneswar Scholarship

The primary financial benefit for students clearing NEST is the DISHA (Diffusion of Innovative Science and HealthCare Analysis) scholarship.

It is sponsored by the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE); this programme is designed to nurture the next generation of scientists. The total annual scholarship/stipend for the students of 5-year integrated MSc courses is INR 60,000 (INR 5,000 per month).

Over the course of the five-year Integrated MSc programme, a student receives a cumulative total of INR 400,000 in financial assistance. This amount is more than the annual 5-year Integrated MSc fees of NISER Bhubaneswar and CEBS Mumbai.

NEST 2026 Admission Process

What is MAP for NEST 2026?

Minimum Admissible Percentile (MAP) is the minimum overall percentile a candidate must achieve in NEST.

• It measures how a candidate performed relative to all other test-takers.
