Hailed as the ‘Missile woman of India’ in male-dominated India, Tessy Thomas is an Indian scientist and Director General of Aeronautical Systems and the former Project Director of Agni-IV missile in the DFefense Research and Development Organization. She invented the Re-entry Vehicle System or RVS, which helps the missile to re-enter the atmosphere with a thundering velocity.

She was handpicked by Dr. A.P.J Kalam to become the first woman scientist to head a missile project in India. The Agni-V was a prestige project for India and was seen as the nation’s rising power. Tessy was the mastermind behind the Agni series, the strongest weapon of the Indian defense.

Apart from being the ‘Agniputri’ of India and serving the nation as an engineer, she is also a great mother and wife. As a human being, she is modest and lovable to all. She is definitely a trendsetter for all Indian women who are balancing their careers along with their families perfectly.
