The IAT 2026 Counselling Registration process is open until July 9, 2026, at iiseradmission.in. Candidates with a valid IAT 2026 scorecard can register for the counselling process. They must note that registration is mandatory for seat allotment and admission to one of the courses offered by the IAT 2026 participating institutes.

Will the Counselling Registration Date for IAT 2026 Be Extended?
The IAT 2026 exam authority, IISER Berhampur, has not provided any information regarding an extension of the counselling registration deadline. Therefore, candidates must complete the registration process by July 9, 2026, at iiseradmission.in.
IAT 2026 Counselling Registration Steps
Candidates must complete the IAT 2026 counselling registration through the official IISER admission website, iiseradmission.in. The registration steps are given below:
Visit the official IISER admission website, iiseradmission.in.
Click on the notification displaying "Registration For Counselling Process: July 2."
You will be redirected to the candidate/application login portal.
Enter your User ID, password, and the security code displayed on the screen. (The User ID and password are the ones you generated while filling out the application form.)
A new page displaying your registration and personal details will open.
Click on the "SUBMIT YOUR PREFERENCES" option available at the top left side of the page.
Click on the "Click here to fill the application" option.
Go to the "IISER Preferences" section.
Select the institutes and courses in the order of your most preferred to least preferred choices.
Enter your bank account details.
Read the declaration carefully.
If all the details entered are correct, accept the declaration and submit your preferences.
Do Candidates Need to Pay the IAT 2026 Registration Fee?
At the time of IAT 2026 counselling registration, candidates are not required to pay a registration fee. They will be required to pay the Seat Acceptance Fee (SAF) if they are allotted a seat during the counselling process.
IAT 2026 Seat Acceptance Fee (SAF) (Category-Wise)
Candidates who receive an admission offer must pay the Seat Acceptance Fee (SAF) to confirm their admission to the allotted course and institute or to participate in the subsequent rounds of counselling.
To accept an admission offer, candidates must select the "Freeze" option. To participate in the subsequent rounds of counselling, they must select the "Float" option. This process will begin after the counselling registration is completed.
