IISER 2025 seat allotment list will be released by the exam officials once the counselling registration is done by the candidates. IISER 2025 counselling registration portal was made live on June 26, 2025, and test takers were given the opportunity to fill out the registration form until July 7, 2025. Test takers with an AIR or category rank can register and participate in the IISER 2025 (IAT) seat allotment process.

What is IISER 2025 Seat Allotment List?
IISER seat allotment list 2025 stipulates the rank range in the form of opening and closing ranks for the courses offered based on the seat intake. Here candidates must note that based on the seats that remain vacant, the exam-conducting authority releases multiple rounds of IISER 225 seat allotment lists.
The IISER 2025 opening and closing ranks of each participating institute of IAT 2025 will vary. Also, the conducting authority will release the IAT 2025 seat allotment list category-wise.
IISER 2025 Seat Allotment Process
Candidates can understand the complete IAT seat allotment process from below:
- Registering for IISER 2025 Counselling Process: In order to get admissions in the courses offered at IISERs, the test takers need to fill out the IISER 2025 counselling registration form.
- Fill out IISER 2025 Academic Programme Preference Form: While making registrations, candidates have to make their course, which they want to pursue, and IISER institute choices. Candidates need to choose among 11 academic programmes across 7 IISER institutes from the drop-down menu.
- Release of IISER 2025 seat allotment list: Based on the seats available at IISERs, the courses offered at these institutes, and the number of registrations made during the counselling process, the exam officials will release the Round 1 IISER 2025 seat allotment list.
- Accept/ Float/ Reject the allotted seat: If a candidate is offered a seat, then he/she will have two options:
- When a candidate receives an admission offer from the exam authority, then he/she can either choose to accept the seat OR reject it by not taking any further action.
- If a candidate wishes to take admission against the offered seat, then they have to either Accept & Float or to Accept & Freeze.
- Pay the Seat Acceptance Fees (SAF): When candidates receive a seat allotment offer, they need to pay the IAT 2025 seat acceptance fee. The SAF will be paod by the candidates as per the category of the student applied during the registration process.

The exam authority offers a seat to the candidate during the counselling process, giving them the opportunity to accept or float it. In order to do so, one needs to pay the IAT 2025 seat acceptance fees. Check out the details from here:

IISER 2025 Seat Allotment List Dates
IISER 2025 online counselling registration process is over. The last date for filling out the counselling registration form was July 7, 2025. The exam officials are yet to announce the IISER 2025 seat allotment list dates. However, based on the previous year’s trend, the IAT 2025 seat allotment process will start in the third week of July onwards, tentatively.

When is IISER 2025 Round 1 Seat Allotment Releasing?
Candidates are eagerly waiting for the exam officials to release the IAT 2025 Round 1 seat allotment list. Until last year, the exam officials used to complete IAT 2025 seat allotment date schedule on the official website. However, this year the authority has not officially announced the seat allotment dates so far.
Based on previous years’ trends, the IISER 2025 Round 1 seat allotment list is likely to be announced in the third week of July 2025.
IISER 2025 Opening and Closing Ranks
The IAT 2025 seat allotment list consists of opening and closing ranks for all 7 IISER participating institutes. The exam officials will be releasing the IISER 2025 opening and closing ranks category-wise. Candidates whose AIR/Category rank lies on the released list will have to accept/reject or float the seat.
