What is SciAstra Diwas 2026?

SciAstra Diwas 2026 is SciAstra’s first offline flagship summit, aiming to connect scientists from prestigious institutes like ISRO and BARC and SciAstra mentors with students pursuing a career in science and research or those seeking to build a career in these fields. Parents who are looking for guidance to support their children in their careers will also be joining the event.

At SciAstra Diwas, the brilliant scientific minds, along with the SciAstra mentors from IITs, IISERs, and NISERs, will teach students “how the science that they learn in classrooms is applicable in the real world”.

Purpose of SciAstra Diwas

The purpose of SciAstra Diwas is to help students see science as a career path, not just a school subject or exam. The event focuses on research awareness, mentorship and giving students a clearer understanding of what studying science actually leads to.

Objective

The objectives of SciAstra Diwas 2026 are the following:

  1. Personal connection with scientists and mentors: At SciAstra Diwas 2026, we want students to meet real scientists and get inspired by their journeys. Also, we want students to understand the future trends and opportunities in science with the help of these scientists and our SciAstra mentors. Participants will be able to ask questions from mentors related to premier institutes like IISc, IISERs, NISER, and IITs.

  2. Strong community building for science aspirants: We will use the event as a networking platform and help like-minded people connect.

  3. Launch of the national science movement: We want to celebrate this event as the “National Science Movement” to inspire a generation that will contribute to India's leadership in space research, nuclear science, biotechnology, and advanced technology.
