The School of Biological Sciences (SBS) at NISER is offering the NISER 2026 Winter Internship. Two winter internship programmes are being offered at the institute: the Short-Term Winter Internship (duration: 2 months) and the Long-Term Internship (duration: 6 months).

The NISER Short-Term Winter Internship will be held from December 1 to 31, 2025, while the Long-Term Internship will be conducted from January 1 to June 30, 2026. During these internships, interns will have the opportunity to work on state-of-the-art research projects under the guidance of experienced NISER faculty members.

Additionally, the NISER School of Biological Sciences will provide internship participants with opportunities to attend seminars on current research in various fields and visit different research laboratories at NISER. Students will not get paid for the internship. However, the experience of working at NISER will enhance their credibility as researchers in the future.

NISER 2026 Winter Internship Eligibility

Candidates interested in pursuing an internship at SBS NISER must check the eligibility criteria for the NISER Winter 2026 Internships. The eligibility criteria for both long-term and short-term internships are the same as mentioned below:

• Candidates should be pursuing a BSc, MSc, or Integrated MSc with a Biology major. Students enrolled in any of these three courses are eligible to apply.

5. Print the email you sent to the NISER faculty along with their reply.

NISER 2025 Winter Internship: Registration Date

The registration for the NISER 2025 Winter Internships is currently open. The last date to apply for the registration is November 14, 2025.

NISER 2025 Winter Internship Fee

For long-term projects, students from the private institute need to pay the project fee of Rs.10,000.00 at the time of their admission.

Accommodation facility is limited, subject to availability. It will be chargeable (INR 30 per day) with a refundable caution money deposit of INR 2000.

The Indian Institute of Technology Indore (IIT Indore) is offering winter internship opportunities to undergraduate (UG) students in the following Departments/fields:
