CTET 2026 Important Events

Candidates who are going to appear for CTET may not be aware of all the events or procedures involved in obtaining eligibility to become Primary Teachers (PRTs) and Trained Graduate Teachers (TGTs) in India. Therefore, they must check the following CTET 2026 events along with their respective dates:

CTET 2026 Registration Form

CTET aspirants must register for the exam to be eligible to appear. The CTET 2026 registration cum application form for the February session will tentatively be released in the first week of November 2025 on the official CTET website – ctet.nic.in.

The application form will not be available offline. Before starting the online application process for CTET 2026, candidates need to ensure that they meet the CTET 2026 eligibility criteria. They must have a valid mobile number and email address for registration.

CTET 2026 Admit Card Release

The CTET 2026 Admit Card will be released two days before the exam on the official CTET website – ctet.nic.in. To download the admit card, candidates will need to visit the official website, click on the admit card link, and enter their application number and password.

On the day of the exam, candidates must carry a coloured printed copy of the CTET admit card along with an original photo ID card.

CTET 2026 Exam Date

The CTET 2026 exam date is February 8, 2026, for both Paper 1 and Paper 2. The exam will be conducted in offline mode.

CTET 2026 Results

The results for the CTET 2026 February session will tentatively be announced in March 2026. Candidates scoring 60% marks in CTET will be considered as CTET qualified. The validity of the exam score is lifetime.

Will CTET be held twice in 2026?

CBSE has not officially declared the number of times CTET will be conducted in 2026. While the exam was not held in 2025, it was conducted three times in 2024. Therefore, the frequency of CTET 2026 remains uncertain and will be confirmed only by CBSE.
