The National Testing Agency will soon close the CUET 2026 registration in 10 days. Candidates interested in pursuing an undergraduate degree at CUET 2026 participating universities must fill out the CUET 2026 registration form by January 30, 2026, at cuet.nta.nic.in.

Before filling out the form, they must ensure that they meet the CUET 2026 subject-mapping criteria for their chosen course and preferred university. Failing to do so will cause rejection of candidature during the counselling process.

The CUET 2026 participating institutes will conduct the counselling for admission. NTA will not conduct counselling on behalf of these institutes.

CUET 2026 Registration Last Date

The last date for CUET 2026 registration is January 30, 2026. Candidates can submit the CUET 2026 registration fee by January 31, 2026, up to 11:50 PM.

Will NTA Extend CUET UG 2026 Registration Dates?

As of now, NTA has not shared any notifications regarding extending the CUET 2026 registration date. Therefore, candidates must fill out the CUET 2026 registration/application form by January 30, 2026.

If the exam authority extends the date for the registration window, SciAstra will notify candidates.

CUET UG 2026: Steps to Apply

To apply for CUET 2026, candidates can use the following steps:

  1. Go to the official CUET UG website: cuet.nta.nic.in.

  2. Click on the “New Registration” option.

  3. Enter the required details to register. After this, you will receive an application number and password via email and SMS.

  4. Use the application number and password to log in.

  5. Fill out the application form and upload a scanned copy of your signature and passport-size photo (coloured).

  6. Pay the application fees.

  7. Review all the details and submit the form.

  8. Download the confirmation page.

CUET 2026 Subject-Mapping Requirements

CUET subject mapping refers to aligning the subjects a candidate chooses in CUET with the subjects required by the university or course they wish to apply for. This ensures that they meet the admission eligibility criteria.

The subject mapping process must be completed while filling out the CUET application form. Therefore, candidates should carefully consider the CUET 2026 subject mapping criteria at the time of filling out their CUET 2026 application form.

For this, they must visit the official website of the university/institute they want to take admission through CUET 2026 and check the eligibility criteria for their preferred course.
