IISER Bhopal invites students interested in Basic Sciences, Engineering Sciences, Economic Sciences, and Humanities and Social Sciences for the IISER Bhopal Summer Research Internship 2026.
The candidates selected for the internship will participate in the research work carried out by IISER Bhopal faculty. Through this research work, participating students will be able to develop practical research skills.

IISER Bhopal Summer Internship Program 2026: Eligibility and Rules
Candidates who want to register for the IISER Bhopal Summer Internship Program 2026 can check the eligibility criteria below.
Eligibility and Rules:
1. Students who are currently studying in the 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year of B.Sc./B.Tech./BS/BS/BS-MS/B.E. (or) the 1st year of M.Sc./M.Tech. (or) an equivalent program are eligible to apply.
2. Candidates are requested to fill in the Online Internship Application Form. Providing false information will invite cancellation of application/registration.
Please Note:
a) Students can apply for up to three projects only.
b) You may browse the faculty webpages at Institute’s website to get more information about their research work.
c) Faculty not listed in the list of available projects will not be offering any summer projects. Kindly do not contact them directly for projects.
3. Project duration: 4 to 8 weeks between 25 May 2026 and 20 July 2026.
Selection Criteria:
1. Candidates will be selected based on their academic performance and the write-up they submit.
2. A list of candidates selected for the summer internship will be displayed on the institute's website by the fourth week of April.
Other Details:
1. No financial assistance will be provided.
2. Hostel accommodation will be provided and charges (₹ 1500/- PM) will be applicable.
3. Mess fee will be charged as per actual rates, payable to the mess contractor (Approx. ₹ 3700/- PM).
4. After successful completion of Internship and submission of a detailed project report, a certificate will be issued by Faculty-in-charge.
