IISER Kolkata has announced the date for admission to the BS-MS and BS-MS-CDS admissions 2026. The admission to these courses will commence on August 11, 2026. This is for the candidates who have frozen their seats at IISER Kolkata in the 5-year BS-MS and BS-MS-CDS (Computational and Data Sciences) programmes for the 2026-27 academic session.

Candidates who have frozen the seat must report in person to R N Tagore Auditorium, Mohanpur, inside the IISER Kolkata campus on 11 August 2026 at 9:00 AM along with the required documents mentioned in the offer letter. Only the candidates who locked their allotted seat during counselling are eligible for admission on August 11, 2026. For other candidates, additional admission dates will be announced by IISER Kolkata later.

IISER Kolkata Admission 2026: Documents Required

All candidates must carry all original documents with them for the physical verification process at IISER Kolkata:

  • IISER Kolkata Offer Letter

  • Class X (Matriculation) Certificate

  • Aadhaar Card

  • All original academic documents mentioned in the offer letter (for verification)

  • Recent passport-size photograph (soft copy) for the online registration form

  • Printed and signed Institute Bylaws (signed by candidate and parent both)

  • Printed and signed Anti-Ragging Undertaking Form

  • Online Anti-Ragging Undertaking confirmation (confirmation email/registration number from www.antiragging.in)

  • Printed and signed Mental Health Declaration Form

IISER Kolkata Admission 2026: Important Instructions

Some important instructions candidates must follow at the time of admission include the following:

  • Report to R N Tagore Auditorium, Mohanpur (inside the IISER Kolkata campus), on August 11, 2026, at 9:00 AM.

  • Only those candidates who have frozen their seats during counselling at IISER Kolkata are eligible for the admission process.

  • Fill out the online registration form and upload a recent photograph (soft copy).

  • Fill out the name exactly as written on your Class X certificate.

  • Pay the remaining admission fee after adjustment of the Seat Acceptance Fee (SAF).

  • Carry all original documents with attested copies and the compulsory signed forms for the verification process.

  • Submit the online confirmation of the Anti-Ragging Undertaking at the time of admission.

  • Make sure your Aadhaar details exactly match your Class X certificate for ABC ID creation.

  • Students must come prepared to stay on campus after admission.

  • Admission will only be accepted on the officially announced reporting dates.
