1. Four-Year Bachelor of Science (Research) Program

Eligibility:

• Candidates must have completed Class 12 (or equivalent) in 2023, 2024, or 2025.
• Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics must be the main subjects.
• Must have secured a first-class or 60% marks (pass class for SC/ST candidates) in the qualifying exam.

Selection Process:

• Admission is based on national entrance exams: IISER Aptitude Test (IAT) 2025.

2. Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Mathematics and Computing

This program is designed for students interested in mathematics, computation, electronics, and electrical engineering.

Eligibility:

• Candidates must have appeared for Class 12 (or equivalent) with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.
• Must secure at least 75% aggregate marks (65% for SC/ST/PwD) or be in the top 20 percentile of their respective board exams.

IISc Bangalore PG Admission 2025

1. Master of Science (M.Sc.)

Disciplines:

• Life Sciences: Requires a degree in Physical, Chemical, or Biological Sciences, Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical, Veterinary, or Agricultural Sciences.
• Chemical Sciences: Requires a B.Sc. degree with Chemistry as a main subject and Mathematics at the 10+2 level.

Selection Process:

• Life Sciences: JAM 2025/GATE 2023/2024/2025 score + Interview.
• Chemical Sciences: 100% JAM 2025 (Chemistry CY) score.

2. Master of Technology (M.Tech.)

This program is available in multiple disciplines, including Aerospace, Computer Science, Chemical Engineering, and Sustainable Technologies and many more.

Eligibility:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of Engineering/Technology or M.Sc. in Physical Sciences, Mathematics, or Statistics.
• Must have a valid GATE 2023/2024/2025 score.

Selection Process:

• 100% GATE score for most disciplines.
• Some programs require a GATE score (70%) + Interview (30%).
• Computational & Data Sciences require GATE (70%) + Written Test + Interview (30%).

3. Master of Design (M.Des.)

    Discipline: Product Design, Development and Management

    Department/Centre/Unit: Design and Manufacturing

    Intake: 18

   Qualification with required GATE paper or CEED (in brackets): B.E / B.Tech / B.Des (all 4 years) / B. Arch (5 years) or equivalent degree in any discipline with a valid GATE/ CAT or CEED score.

   Selection Process: Selection is based on 70% weightage on CEED/GATE/CAT score + 30% performance in interview.

   Areas of study: Product Design and Engineering.

4. Master of Management (M.Mgt.)
