IACS UPST 2025: Key Details
Eligibility:
- Class 12 (or equivalent) in Science stream.
- Mathematics is compulsory in 10+2.
- Minimum 60% in boards (relaxation for reserved categories).
Exam Pattern:
- Date: 7th June 2025 (9 AM – 12 PM)
- Mode: Computer-Based Test (CBT)
- Sections:
Compulsory: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics (20 questions each, 2 marks per question).
Optional: Biology or Computer Science (20 questions, 2 marks each).
- Negative Marking: -0.66 (⅔) for each wrong answer.
Selection Process:
- Written Test (UPST) – Cut-off based on Physics, Chemistry, and Math.
- Interview – For shortlisted candidates.
Final Merit List – Combines written test (scaled to 100) + interview performance.
