NDA (National Defence Academy): After completing 12th with Physics and Mathematics (for the Army, Navy, and Air Force wings) .For TES (Technical Entry Scheme): After 12th (with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics) or a 3-year engineering diploma.

CDS (Combined Defence Services): After completing a Bachelor’s degree (with specific eligibility for different branches).

Exams:

  • NDA (National Defence Academy): Conducted by UPSC. It’s for entry into the Army, Navy, and Air Force.
  • CDS (Combined Defence Services): Also conducted by UPSC for graduate entry into the Army, Navy, and Air Force.
  • AFCAT (Air Force Common Admission Test): For the Indian Air Force (IAF).
  • SSB Interview: After clearing the written exams, candidates must clear the SSB (Services Selection Board) interview, which includes psychological tests, group tasks, and personal interviews.
