SciAstra's inaugural offline flagship event

Community

Students, parents, scientists, and educators together

SciAstra Diwas is our first flagship free offline event, organised on National Science Day, 28 February 2026. It brings students, parents, and members of the scientific community together in one place.

The aim is simple: to help students understand how the science they study in classrooms connects to real research careers. Many students prepare for exams without clearly knowing what pursuing science actually involves, and this event is meant to give that clarity.

At SciAstra Diwas, participants will get the opportunity to listen to and interact with scientists such as Dr. A. P. Jayaraman and Dr. Deepak Singh, along with the mentors, researchers, IACS, IAT & NEST top rankers. The conversations will reflect experiences connected to institutions like ISRO, BARC, IISc, IITs, IISERs and NISER.

More than just a conclave, SciAstra Diwas is a chance for students to see what a real journey in science looks like — and how they can become a part of it.

Why February 28 for SciAstra Diwas 2026?

February 28 - Celebrating National Science Day

SciAstra Diwas 2026 has been scheduled on February 28, as it marks the discovery of the Raman Effect by Sir C.V. Raman in 1928, for which he won the Nobel Prize in Physics. Also, the nation celebrates this day as National Science Day.

By hosting SciAstra Diwas 2026 on National Science Day, SciAstra honours India's rich scientific legacy while inspiring the next generation of innovators, researchers, and thinkers.

"We chose this date to honour India's scientific heritage while launching a movement for its future. Just as C. V. Raman's discovery put India on the global scientific map, SciAstra Diwas 2026 aims to inspire a generation that will take Indian science to new heights."

Why Attend the First Flagship Offline Event?

SciAstra Diwas 2026 is more than a science conclave, as it is a landmark offline experience designed to inspire, connect, and empower India's future researchers. Here's why this first flagship offline event matters for every science aspirant:

1

Personal Connection with Scientists & Mentors

While online learning is effective, nothing matches the motivation of meeting real scientists and mentors face-to-face. At SciAstra Diwas 2026, students can interact directly with experts who have shaped India's scientific ecosystem, ask career questions, and gain practical insights into research life at premier institutes like IISc, IISERs, NISER, and IITs.

2

Strong Community Building for Science Aspirants

SciAstra Diwas 2026 creates a powerful networking platform where like-minded students, mentors, and achievers come together. You will meet peers preparing for exams like JEE Advanced, NEST, and IAT; share preparation strategies; and build lifelong academic and research connections.

3

Launch of a National Science Movement

This flagship offline event marks the beginning of a larger mission—to promote scientific temperament, research culture, and innovation among Indian students. Through SciAstra Diwas 2026, SciAstra aims to inspire a generation that will contribute to India's leadership in space research, nuclear science, biotechnology, and advanced technology.

Our Vision

At SciAstra Diwas 2026, our vision goes far beyond exam preparation. We aim to ignite a lifelong passion for science, empower future researchers, and build a strong scientific ecosystem that contributes to India’s growth and global leadership.

1

Beyond Examinations: Science as a Purpose

We focus more on students who don’t just see science as a way to crack entrance exams like JEE or NEST but as a meaningful calling. SciAstra Diwas 2026 encourages aspirants to explore science as a pathway to innovation.

2

Building a Strong Research Culture

Through expert talks, mentorship, and interactive sessions, SciAstra Diwas 2026 promotes a mindset where students develop critical thinking, ask bold questions, and pursue research careers at top institutes like IISc, IISERs, NISER, and IITs.

3

Ethical Science for a Better Future

Scientific knowledge comes with responsibility. At SciAstra Diwas 2026, we emphasize ethics, integrity, and accountability in science.

4

Science for Nation Building

Our mission is to motivate students to use science as a tool to solve India’s biggest challenges, from healthcare and climate change to space research and advanced technology.

A Science Movement for India Through SciAstra Diwas 2026

SciAstra Diwas 2026 is not just a science event but the beginning of a nationwide movement to inspire curiosity-driven learning and research-focused careers in India. While India produces millions of graduates every year, the country needs more young scientists who are passionate about discovery, innovation, and nation-building.

The Challenge: Indian students are excellent at clearing exams but often lose the scientific spirit in the process. We're caught in a cycle of degrees without discovery, certificates without contribution.

Our Response: Through SciAstra Diwas and subsequent initiatives, we're creating platforms that:

  • Connect students directly with working scientists
  • Showcase real-world applications of scientific research
  • Demonstrate career paths beyond traditional engineering
  • Build a community of science enthusiasts and future researchers

This movement is about changing mindsets—from exam-centric to research-driven, from degree-focused to contribution-oriented.
