How to Download the NEST 2025 Results/Scorecard?

It’s easy to access your results. Take careful note of these easy steps to prevent any last-minute panic:

Step 1: Go to the NEST’s official website.

Visit the official website (www.nestexam.in). Your results can only be obtained from this official source. Don’t trust any third-party websites that promise results. Hence, students should strictly avoid it, as they might not be trustworthy.

Step 2: Finding the NEST 2025 result link.

Visit the NEST website. Click on the link redirecting to the NEST 2025 Scorecard page.

Step 3: Fill in the login details.

A login page will be displayed to you. You need to fill in some important credentials like roll number, application number, password, and date of birth.

Step 4: Download your NEST 2025 scorecard.

Your NEST 2025 scorecard will appear on the screen after you have successfully logged in. Review everything for a moment. The scorecard should then be saved to your device after being downloaded as a PDF file.

Step 5: Produce a Hard Copy

Taking several printouts of your scorecard is strongly advised. During the counseling and admissions process, a hard copy will be required.

What do the ranks on your NEST 2025 scorecard mean?

The NEST scorecard is a comprehensive document. The important details that will be displayed will be

  • Your personal information, like name, category, application number, and roll number. Make sure there are no mistakes by checking these twice.
  • By section marks: Your results for the four subjects—physics, chemistry, mathematics, and biology—will be displayed.
  • Total Marks: This represents your overall exam score.
  • The percentage of applicants with scores comparable to or lower than yours is shown by your percentile score. It gauges how well you performed in comparison to other test-takers.
  • Your overall ranking out of all the candidates who took the NEST 2025 exam is known as the All India Rank (AIR).

Category Rank: Your rank within a reserved category (OBC-NCL, SC, ST, or PwD) will also be mentioned if you fall into one of those categories.

A Remark on the NEST Ranking System

NEST calculates ranks in a special way. The sum of your scores from the four sections does not determine your final ranking. Rather, your final merit list is determined by the sum of your scores in your top three subjects. Therefore, the goal is to level the playing field for students with PCM and PCB backgrounds. Hence, you can now relax if you were anxious about how you did in your “fourth” subject!

What Comes Next? The Path to CEBS and NISER

1. The Process of Counseling

There are separate counseling sessions held by CEBS and NISER. Therefore, for counseling notifications, you need to closely monitor the official websites of CEBS Mumbai (www.cbs.ac.in) and NISER Bhubaneswar (www.niser.ac.in).

Hence, you will be asked to sign up for counseling based on your rank. Usually, it is completed online; the procedure entails uploading required files and completing preference forms.

2. Get Your Checklist of Documents Ready

Gather the following documents right away. The admissions process will go more smoothly and stress-free if they are prepared.

  • The NEST 2025 original scorecard, which you just downloaded.
  • Students need their Class 10 Marksheet and Certificate (as evidence of birthdate) for the NEST 2025 Admit Card & Class 12 Marksheet and Certificate with a valid government ID (passport, Aadhaar card, etc.).
  • If applicable, a Category Certificate (OBC-NCL, SC, ST) in the format specified.
  • Disability (PwD) Certificate, if relevant.
  • Current passport-sized photos.

3. The Magnificent Possibility: Scholarship

Keep in mind why you put in so much effort for NEST. The Department of Atomic Energy (DAE) Education automatically gives a generous scholarship of ₹5,000 per month and an annual contingency grant of ₹20,000 to all students accepted into the five-year Integrated M.Sc. program at NISER and CEBS.

For Individuals Who Didn’t Achieve the Targeted Ranking

There will be a bunch of students who will be disappointed by the results. Some might be thinking of themselves as losers or maybe not capable enough. Therefore, there are a ton of other fantastic opportunities in research and science:

  1. The IISER Aptitude Test (IAT): Another excellent path to prestigious research institutes is the results and counseling of the IAT, if you took it.
  2. CUET: Excellent B.Sc. programs are offered by numerous prestigious central and state universities.
  3. State-Level Universities: Research the science curricula offered by respectable state universities in your area.

Apart from giving exams and chasing success, there is so much more to do. Focus and believe in yourself.

FAQs:

Q1: What is a good NEST 2025 rank?

A “good” rank is determined by your category and the institute of your choice (CEBS or NISER). Hence, in the general category, placing in the top 500 is typically regarded as extremely strong for getting a seat. You should wait for the official counseling call, though, as cutoffs change every year.

Q2: Can I request for the NEST 2025 results to be reevaluated?

No, it’s not possible after the results are declared. This score is finalized, which includes the release of the answer keys, which go through a thorough process.

Q3: What happens when a student forgets the login password?

Students can visit the official NEST website and click on the “Forget password” link. Then you have to follow a bunch of instructions to recover your password, which requires verifying the registered email ID or mobile number.

Q4: Will NISER and CEBS release separate merit lists?

Yes. Both NISER & CEBS have their own merit list for the counseling only for the students who apply to them.

Q5: Will separate merit lists be released by CEBS and NISER?

Indeed. Both institutes will release their own merit lists for counseling based on the ranks of students who apply to them, even though the NEST exam is the same.
