How is the ISI Admission Test Result prepared?

The results for the ISI Admission Test are prepared in the following stages:

1. Qualifying for Objective Exam

There are three qualifying phases for the ISI Admission Test: 1) Objective Exam, 2) Subjective Exam, and 3) Interview.

Candidates must first appear for both subjective and objective exams. However, their subjective paper will only be evaluated if they score equal to or above the cutoff in the objective paper. The cutoff is decided by the ISIs.

2. Subjective Exam

The subjective paper of only those candidates who clear the objective paper will be assessed. Based on their combined performance in the subjective and objective papers, candidates will be called for an interview at the ISI campuses.

3. Interview

The final stage of selection for admission through the ISI Admission Test is an interview lasting around 40 minutes. The total marks for the interview are 120. The names of the selected candidates will be listed in the ISI Admission Test 2026 merit list. This list will be prepared by considering the candidates’ scores in the objective and subjective exams, along with the interview.
