The IISER Aptitude Test (IAT) is a national-level entrance exam conducted for admission UG courses offered by Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISERs).

What are the IISER 2026 Application Correction Window Dates?

In order to fill out the IAT 2026 application, candidates need to first create a candidate registration account, fill out the application form, and pay the application fee.
What are IAT 2026 Eligibility Criteria?
Candidates who have passed Class XII (or equivalent) in 2024 or 2025 or 2026 from an institute recognised by the Council of Boards of School Education (COBSE) in India with PCM, PCB or PCMB can apply for IAT. They must have at least three subjects among Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics in Class XII.
Indian nationals, PIO/OCI holders, and foreign nationals are eligible for IISER 2026.
Foreign applicants must upload an equivalence certificate issued by AIU unless their board is COBSE recognised.
Can student appearing for Class 12 apply for IAT?
Students pursuing Class 12 with any three of the four subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology—are eligible to appear for IAT. These candidates must have passed Class 12 by the time of IAT 2026 counselling. They must score at least the percentage mentioned in the IAT eligibility criteria for their category, and must have their Class 12 marksheet at the time of admission to one of the IISERs.

At first candidates need to visit the official website and need to register themselves. Username and Password will be generated upon successful registration.

Through the registered account, candidates are required to fill out the application form in online mode. Below are details asked by the officials to fill in:
Personal details like name, DOB, religion, category, disability, etc.

Filling of exam city preference.
Upload of documents like a photograph, signature, class 12 marksheet, and category certificate in the required dimensions.
