IACS 2026 Admission to BS-MS Programme: The Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science, Kolkata (IACS Kolkata), is offering admission to the BS-MS Programme through the IISER Aptitude Test (IAT) 2026.

The IAT 2026 will be conducted on June 7, 2026, in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode at designated test centres across India.

The IAT 2026 application form will be released on March 5, 2026, at iiseradmission.in. The last date to fill out the form is April 13, 2026.

IAT Eligibility Criteria 2026

To appear for IAT 2026 for admission to the BS-MS Programme at IACS, candidates first need to ensure they meet the IAT 2026 eligibility criteria. Check out these criteria:

IISER Aptitude Test Eligibility Criteria

Nationality

  • Applicants must be Indian nationals, OCI/PIO/Foreign Nationals.

Qualifications

  • Candidates must have passed the Class XII (or equivalent) examination either in 2024 or 2025 or be appearing in 2026 from any board recognised by the Council of Boards of School Education (COBSE) in India.

  • Foreign Nationals need to upload an equivalence certificate issued by the Association of Indian Universities unless they have passed the Class XII or equivalent level examination in 2024 or 2025 or are appearing in 2026 with a science stream from any board recognised by the Council of Boards of School Education (COBSE) in India.

Subject Requirements

  • Candidates must have taken at least three subjects among Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics during their Class XII (or equivalent) examination.

Minimum Percentage Requirements

  • For SC/ST/PwD candidates: Minimum 55% marks in Class XII (or equivalent exam).

  • For General and OBC candidates: Minimum 60% marks in Class XII (or equivalent exam).

IACS 2026 Master’s and Integrated Master’s-PhD Admission Process

Admissions to the Master's and Integrated Master's-Ph.D. programmes in Chemistry, Biology, Physics, and Mathematics at IACS will be conducted through IIT JAM.

The institute is offering admissions to the Computer Science programme at the postgraduate level based on GATE rank and/or an independent screening process.
