The B.Sc. (Research) program offered by IISc is a four-year undergraduate programme designed to provide a balanced blend of core science and interdisciplinary topics.   • Admission:– It is through five ways: 
  1. KVPY SA 2021
  2. JEE MAIN 2023
  3. JEE ADVANCED 2023
  4. NEET 2023
  5. IAT 2023: IISER Aptitude Test is introduced as a new mode of Entry for the Academic Year 2023-24. Candidates have to apply directly on the IISc admission portal to apply through this mode of Entry.

And, for IAT 130-140 marks to get admission into IISC not counseling.

(Qualifying exam)

National Entrance Exam (i.e., Mode of

Entry) Requirements

(a) Candidates who have completed their

10+2 (or equivalent) examination in 2022

and those expecting to complete their 10+2 (or equivalent) examination in 2023.

(b) The candidates must have studied

Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as

main subjects in their qualifying exam, along with any other subjects.

(c) The candidates must have secured a first class or 60% or equivalent grade (relaxed to pass class for SC/ST candidates) in the qualifying examination (i.e., 10+2 or equivalent)

Selection will be based on the merit list of

one of the following national examinations.

1. Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana

(KVPY) KVPY-2021, Stream-SA

Candidates selected through Empowerment

Initiative (SC/ST/PwD categories) in KVPY2021, Stream-SA

2. JEE Main -2023

3. JEE Advance-2023

4. NEET(UG)-2023

5. IISER Aptitude test 2023

Note: Candidate must be qualified in any of the exams mentioned above, and the exam result must be valid as of 01 August 2023.
