Exam Pattern:

  • The question paper has 4 sections: Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics.
  • Each section is worth 60 marks and contains 20 MCQs.
  • Correct answers get 3 marks, incorrect answers lead to a deduction of 1 mark, and no marks are deducted for unanswered questions.
  • Candidates should attempt all sections for the best chance of success.
  • The best three-section scores out of the four will be used to prepare the merit list.
  • The total score considered for the merit list is out of 180 marks.
  • The question paper will be available in both Hindi and English, with the English version considered the standard in case of any language-related confusion or discrepancy.

The NEST 2024 syllabus is based on the class 11 and class 12 NCERT curricula, encompassing physics, chemistry, maths, and biology.

It is essential to note that recent changes in NCERT are not included, and candidates can refer to the previous syllabus for their preparation.
