• Candidates must have passed Class XII (or equivalent) in 2025 or 2026 or 2027 from an institute recognised by the Council of Boards of School Education (COBSE) in India.

• Indian nationals, PIO/OCI holders, and foreign nationals are allowed to apply for IISER 2027.

• Foreign applicants must upload an equivalence certificate issued by AIU unless their board is COBSE recognised.

IAT Reservation Criteria 2027

A specific number of seats are reserved at IISERs for courses offered through the IAT 2027. Check the percentage of seats reserved for each category below:

• Scheduled Caste (SC) - 15% of seats

• Scheduled Tribe (ST) - 7.5% of seats

• Other Backward Classes belonging to the Non-Creamy Layer (OBC-NCL) - 27% of seats

The course-wise COMEDK UGCET 2027 eligibility criteria are as follows:

COMEDK UGET Eligibility Criteria for BE/BTech

To appear for COMEDK UGET for admission to undergraduate engineering courses, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• Nationality: Indian citizens, Overseas Citizens of India (OCI), and Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) can appear for COMEDK UGET. OCI/PIO candidates must submit the required declaration during counselling registration.

• Qualifying examination: Candidates must have passed or be appearing for Second Pre-University Courses (PUC), Class 12 (10+2), or an equivalent examination recognised by the State or Central Government.

• Required subjects: The last two years of study must include:

1. Physics

2. Mathematics

3. English

4. One of the following: Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, Computer Science, or Electronics

• Minimum marks: General Merit candidates must score at least 45% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM). For SC, ST and OBC candidates of Karnataka, the minimum required aggregate is 40%.

• Candidates must also pass Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics individually.

• Candidates must pass all individual subjects, including optional or additional subjects.

• Single-board requirement: All subjects must be passed from one board. Marks cards from two different boards will not be accepted. For example, a candidate with Physics and Chemistry from CBSE and Mathematics from NIOS will not be eligible.

• COMEDK exam attempt: One attempt in the COMEDK entrance examination is sufficient for inclusion in the rank list. However, candidates who score 0 marks will not be assigned a rank.

• Diploma candidates: Candidates with a diploma qualification cannot appear for the COMEDK UGET engineering entrance test, as there is no lateral entry through COMEDK.

• Original marks card: Candidates must submit the original Class 12/Second PUC marks card during counselling to verify their eligibility and marks.

COMEDK UGET Eligibility Criteria for BArch

For admission to BArch, candidates must meet these requirements:

• Qualifying examination: Candidates must have passed Second PUC, Class 12 (10+2), or an equivalent examination.

• Required subjects: Candidates must have Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, along with any one of the following:

1. Chemistry

2. Biology

3. Technical vocational subject

4. Computer Science

5. Information Technology

6. Informatics Practices

7. Engineering Graphics

• Candidates must score at least 45% aggregate marks in the qualifying examination. For SC, ST and OBC candidates of Karnataka, the minimum required aggregate is 40%.

• Candidates must pass all individual subjects, including optional or additional subjects.

• Single-board requirement: All subjects must be passed from one board. Marks cards from two different boards will not be accepted.

• Candidates who have passed a 10+3 Diploma examination with Mathematics as a compulsory subject can also apply, provided they have at least 45% aggregate marks (40% for SC, ST and OBC candidates of Karnataka) and have passed the subjects individually.

• Candidates seeking BArch admission must qualify in an architecture aptitude test conducted by NATA or JEE. This requirement applies to all candidates, including SC, ST and OBC candidates of Karnataka.

• If a candidate has qualified in another architecture aptitude test, they must still qualify in NATA or JEE. Only NATA or JEE scores will be considered for preparing the merit list along with qualifying examination marks.

• COMEDK does not conduct a separate entrance test for BArch.

• Candidates seeking BArch admission must submit a separate application form for counselling as per the notification on the COMEDK website.

• Candidates interested only in BArch do not need to fill out the COMEDK UGET engineering entrance exam application form.

Important Note: The eligibility criteria may be changed if the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE), Visveraya Technological University (VTU), the Council of Architecture (COA), or another competent regulatory authority makes changes before COMEDK rank generation. Only candidates who meet the applicable AICTE/VTU eligibility requirements will receive a COMEDK rank card.

VITEEE

Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) conducts the Vellore Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Examination (VITEEE) for admission to BTech courses offered at its four campuses: VIT Vellore, VIT Chennai, VIT-AP (Amaravati, Andhra Pradesh), and VIT Bhopal.

VITEEE 2027 is a Computer-Based Test (CBT) consisting of 125 multiple-choice questions (MCQs). Candidates can choose either the MPCEA (Mathematics) or BPCEA (Biology) subject combination, depending on their eligibility and preferred BTech programmes. The exam duration is 2 hours 30 minutes.

VITEEE 2027 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet the following eligibility requirements to appear for VITEEE 2027 and seek admission to BTech programmes. The eligibility criteria are as follows:

1. Nationality

• Resident Indian, Non-Resident Indian (NRI), OCI and PIO candidates can apply for VITEEE.

• NRI candidates can apply through the NRI application form under the NRI category.

• Foreign applicants who have studied or are studying abroad can apply through the international application form.

2. Age Limit

• Candidates must have been born on or after 1 July 2005 to be eligible for VITEEE 2027.

• The date of birth mentioned on the candidate's Class 10/SSC/High School certificate will be considered as proof of age.

• Candidates must produce the original certificate during counselling/admission. Failure to do so can result in cancellation of admission.

3. Qualifying Examination

Candidates must have either passed or be appearing in 2027 for one of the following examinations:

• Class 12/10+2 examination conducted by a recognised Central or State Board, such as CBSE or CISCE.

• Intermediate or two-year Pre-University Examination conducted by a recognised Board/University.

• GCE Advanced (A) Level examination conducted by London/Cambridge/Sri Lanka.

• Cambridge University/Pearson Edexcel High School Certificate Examination with the required subjects.

• International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma from the International Baccalaureate Office, Geneva.

• Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by NIOS, with at least five subjects.

• Candidates who completed Class 12 or an equivalent examination outside India must provide an equivalence certificate confirming that their qualification is equivalent to Class 12. Their grade/CGPA must also be converted into a percentage.

Other important conditions:

• Only candidates who have studied through regular, full-time and formal education are eligible.

• Candidates who have appeared for multiple board examinations in the same academic year are not eligible.

• For Indian nationals, appearing for VITEEE 2027 is mandatory for BTech admission.

• If VITEEE 2027 is cancelled due to natural calamities or other circumstances beyond the institute's control, VIT may consider qualifying examination marks instead. Candidates will be informed if this happens.

4. Minimum Marks Required

The category-wise minimum percentage required in the quality exam to appear for VITEEE:

The 50% relaxation applies to candidates belonging to SC/ST and candidates from Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura. Relevant community or nativity certificates must be produced during counselling.

5. Subject Combination and BTech Admission Eligibility

PCM/PCMB candidates: Candidates who appear for Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, English and Aptitude (MPCEA) in VITEEE 2027, and meet the required 60% aggregate in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry with at least 50% in Mathematics in Class 12/equivalent, are eligible for all BTech programmes.

PCB/PCMB candidates: Candidates who appear for Biology, Physics, Chemistry, English and Aptitude (BPCEA) in VITEEE 2027, or PCB candidates who appear for MPCEA and meet the required 60% aggregate in Biology, Physics and Chemistry with at least 50% in Biology, can apply only for the following programmes:
