NTA, the examination conducting body, has also announced the NEET 2026 exam date, and the exam is scheduled to be held on May 3, 2026, in offline mode at multiple exam centres across the country. The NEET 2026 shift timings will be from 2 PM to 5 PM, and test-takers are advised to reach the examination centre well in advance to ensure a smooth check-in process.

NEET 2026 Application Form

The NEET 2026 Application Form has been released by the National Testing Agency (NTA) in online mode on the official website neet.nta.nic.in. Candidates who wish to pursue undergraduate medical courses such as MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS, and other allied programmes must complete the registration process within the specified deadline. During the application process, candidates are required to fill in their personal details, academic information, exam centre preferences, and upload the required documents such as photographs and signatures. Applicants must also pay the prescribed application fee to successfully submit the form.

The last date to fill out the NEET UG 2026 application form is March 11, 2026 upto 9 PM. Also, the last date to make the NEET UG 2026 registration fee is March 11, 2026, up to 11:50 PM.

2. NEET 2026 Application Correction Window

After the application process closes, NTA provides a correction window for candidates to edit certain details in their submitted application forms. The NEET 2026 Application Correction Window allows applicants to rectify errors related to personal information, exam city preferences, category, uploaded documents, and other permitted fields.

NEET 2026 application correction window dates will be announced soon. Candidates must carefully review their application form during this period because no corrections are allowed once the correction window closes.

3. NEET 2026 Exam Date

The NEET 2026 exam will be conducted on May 3, 2026, in offline mode (pen-and-paper-based) across various exam centres in India and abroad. The exam will consist of multiple-choice questions (MCQs) from the subjects Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (Botany and Zoology). The duration of the examination will be 3 hours, and candidates will be evaluated on their conceptual understanding of the syllabus prescribed by the National Medical Commission (NMC).

4. NEET 2026 Admit Card

The NEET 2026 Admit Card will be released by NTA a few days before the examination. Registered candidates can download their admit cards by logging in to the official website using their application number and password/date of birth. The admit card will contain important details such as the candidate’s name, roll number, exam centre address, reporting time, and exam day instructions. It is mandatory for candidates to carry a printed copy of the admit card along with a valid photo ID to the examination centre.

5. NEET 2026 Answer Key

After the successful completion of the exam, NTA will release the NEET 2026 provisional answer key along with the question papers and candidates’ recorded responses. This allows students to estimate their probable scores before the results are announced. Candidates will also be given an opportunity to challenge the provisional answer key by paying a prescribed fee per question. After reviewing the objections submitted by candidates, NTA will publish the final answer key.

6. NEET 2026 Result

The NEET 2026 Result will be declared online on the official website. Candidates will be able to download their scorecard by logging into their accounts. The scorecard will include details such as the candidate’s marks obtained, percentile score, All India Rank (AIR), category rank, and qualifying status. Based on the results, candidates who meet the qualifying cutoff will be eligible to participate in the counselling process for admission to medical and dental colleges.

7. NEET 2026 Counselling

The NEET 2026 Counselling process will be conducted after the declaration of the results. The counselling for 15% All India Quota (AIQ) seats will be organised by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), while the 85% state quota counselling will be conducted by the respective state authorities. During counselling, candidates will need to register, fill in their preferred colleges and courses, and participate in the seat allotment rounds. Admission to medical colleges will be granted based on NEET rank, seat availability, reservation criteria, and choices filled by candidates.

The NEET 2026 examination will be conducted in a single shift in offline (pen-and-paper) mode by the National Testing Agency. Candidates must carefully follow the exam-day schedule mentioned on the admit card to avoid late entry or disqualification from the exam centre.
