IISER Aptitude Test (IAT)
Overview: IISER Aptitude Test (IAT) is an entrance exam which is conducted for admission to 5-year Integrated MSc programmes, Bachelor of Science (BS), and BTech courses offered by Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISERs), IIT Madras, IIT Guwahati, IISc Bengaluru, IACS Kolkata and IIEST Shibpur.
IISER Berhampur is conducting IAT 2026. The date of the exam is June 7, 2026 (9 AM to 12 PM).
The application process for IAT is open until April 13, 2026 at iiseradmission.in.
Candidates must note that each IAT participating institute offers different UG programmes from the courses mentioned above.

IAT 2026 Eligibility Criteria
To take the IAT 2026 exam, candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria:
Academic Qualifications:
Candidates must have passed the Class XII (or equivalent) examination either in 2024 or 2025 or appearing in 2026 from any board recognised by the Council of Boards of School Education (COBSE) in India.
Candidates must have taken at least three subjects among Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics during their Class XII (or equivalent) examination.
Minimimum Marks:
Candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwD are required to score a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate or equivalent grade in their Class XII (or equivalent) examination.
Candidates belonging to other categories (General, OBC and categories other than SC/ST/PwD) are required to score a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate or equivalent grade in their Class XII (or equivalent) examination.
Note that, the percentage needs to be calculated using aggregate marks, that is, considering ALL the subjects taken in Class XII (or equivalent) level.
Age:
There is no age related requirement for IAT 2026 aspirants. Candidates must meet the academic qualifications-related eligibility criteria.

Overview: The Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design (UCEED) is a national-level entrance exam which is conducted by IIT Bombay for admission to Bachelor of Design (BDes) courses offered by seven IITs.
The exam is held once a year. In 2026, UCEED was conducted on January 18, 2027.

UCEET Eligibility Criteria 2027
The eligibility criteria for UCEED 2027 exam are as follows:
Age Limit:
The candidate should have been born on or after October 1, 2002, if belonging to the OPEN/EWS/OBC-NCL category and born on or after October 1, 1997, if belonging to the SC, ST or PwD category.
Number of Attempts:
A candidate can attempt UCEED a maximum of two times, and that too in consecutive years.
Note that the UCEED score is valid for one year and only for admissions in the same corresponding academic year.
Qualifying Examination:
A candidate should have appeared for the Class XII (or equivalent) examination for the first time in either 2026 OR 2027 to be eligible for attempting UCEED 2027.
Students from ALL STREAMS (Science, Commerce, and Arts & Humanities) are eligible.
Those who appeared for the first time in their qualifying examination (Class XII) in 2025 or earlier are NOT eligible to appear in UCEED 2027.
Reservation Criteria:
General category belonging to Economically Weaker Section (GEN-EWS) – 10% of seats in every course.
Other Backward Classes belonging to the Non-Creamy Layer (OBC-NCL) – 27% of seats in every course.
Scheduled Caste (SC) – 15% of seats in every course.
Scheduled Tribe (ST) – 7.5% of seats in every course.
Persons with Disability (PwD) – 5% seats in each of OPEN, GEN-EWS, OBCNCL, SC, and ST category seats.

Overview: IIT Joint Admission Test for Masters (IIT JAM) is a national-level entrance exam conducted for admission to MSc, MSc (Tech), MS (Research), MSc-MTech Dual Degree, Joint MSc- PhD, MSc - PhD Dual Degree and Integrated PhD offered by IITs, NITs and other prestigious institutes.
The IIT JAM 2027 application form is likely to be released in the first week of September 2027 on the official JAM portal of the exam conducting institute.

Overview: Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is being conducted by IISc and all IITs, on behalf of the National Coordination Board (NCB), Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education (MoE) for admission to MTech and research programmes offered by IITs, NITs, IISc and other GFTIs.
The exam assesses the candidates for a comprehensive understanding of different undergraduate-level subjects in Engineering/Technology/Science/Architecture/Commerce/Arts/Humanities.
The exam is held once a year. GATE 2027 is likely to be conducted in the second and third week of February 2027. The application form for the exam will tentatively be released in the fourth week of August 2026 on the official GATE website of the exam conducting institute.

GATE Eligibility Criteria 2027
The eligibility criteria for GATE 2027 are as follows:
A candidate who is currently studying in the 3rd or higher years of any undergraduate degree programme OR has already completed any government approved degree programme in Engineering/Technology/Architecture/Science/Commerce/Arts/Humanities is eligible to appear for GATE 2027 examination.
A candidate who is currently studying in the 5th/6th/7th semester or higher semester OR has already completed MBBS/BDS/BVSc/BSc (Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry) degree is also eligible to appear for GATE 2027 examination.
