Who Can Apply for CUET UG? 

Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria for the Common University Entrance Test 2026 can apply for the exam. Check out the details about the CUET 2026 eligibility criteria mentioned as follows:

Academic Qualifications

  • Class 12 pass from a recognised central or state board

Category-Wise Minimum Qualifying Marks

  • General Category – 50% (for UG courses other than BTech)
  • SC/St Category – 45% (for UG courses other than BTech)
  • General Category – 45% (for BTech)
  • SC/St Category – 45% (for BTech)

Age Limit

  • Candidates must meet the minimum age limit criteria of the university they are applying to through CUET.

Steps to Fill Out CUET UG 2026 Application Form

To apply for CUET 2026, candidates must first visit the official websites — cuet.nta.nic.in and nta.ac.in. They need to complete the candidate registration process, fill in the required details, select CUET subjects, upload the necessary documents, and pay the application fee.

The complete details of the registration process are as follows:

Step 1: Complete the Registration Process

  • Visit cuet.nta.nic.in or nta.ac.in, and click on the “New Candidate Registration” option.
  • Carefully read all the instructions and then proceed.
  • Enter your name, identity-related details, and address to generate login credentials.
  • Candidates will receive their CUET username and password on their registered email ID.
  • After completing the registration, enter the following details:

  2. Contact Details
  3. Educational Details
  4. Course and Exam Details

Step 2: Fill Out Application Details

  • Fill out personal details, including category, parents’ names and occupation, family income, domicile, etc. 

Step 3: Fill Out Educational Details

  • Enter your educational details, including Class 10 and Class 12 marks, stream, roll number, mode of education and educational board details. 

Step 4: Select CUET UG Subject

  • Select subjects to which you want to get admission through CUET UG. 
  • Candidates can select a maximum of five subjects. 
  • They must select a minimum of three subjects.

Step 5: Upload Photograph and Signature

  • Candidates must upload their passport-size photo and a scanned copy of their signature in JPEG/JPG format. 
  • They also need to upload a category or PwD certificate in PDF format if applicable. 

Step 6: Pay the Application Fee

  • To complete the CUET 2026 application process, candidates must pay the application fee online using UPI, net banking and e-Wallet options.
  • The facility to pay the application fee offline is not available.

CUET Application 2026: Required Documents and Details

While filling out the CUET UG application form, candidates need the following documents and details. It is important to ensure that all documents are scanned and uploaded in the prescribed size and format as mentioned in the official guidelines.

  • Valid Email ID and Mobile Number
  • Government-issued Photo ID (Aadhaar Card/Passport/PAN Card/Driving License/Voter ID)
  • Class 10 Marksheet (for date of birth proof)
  • Class 12 Marksheet / Passing Certificate (if already passed)
  • Class 12 Admit Card / Hall Ticket (if appearing in current year)
  • Caste Certificate (SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS) issued by a competent authority
  • PwD Certificate (if applicable).
  • Recent Passport-size Photograph
  • Scanned Signature
  • Income Certificate (for fee concession/financial aid, if required)

CUET UG 2026 Form Application Correction

Candidates may make mistakes while filling out the CUET UG 2025 registration form, which can lead to the rejection of their candidature. To address this issue, the exam authority allows candidates to correct details in their registration form. 

For CUET UG 2026, candidates will be provided with an application correction window online at cuet.nta.nic.in and nta.ac.in. The dates for the correction window will be announced after the conclusion of the application process.
